Print and Make Your International Driver's License

Many of our customers are already abroad and have found themselves in need of an International Driver’s License. If that's your case, we’ve got you covered! When you receive the file of your digital International Driver’s License (within 12 hours after the purchase), you can immediately print it.

Here’s how you do it:

1. Sizing

The IDP Booklet should be printed on A5 sized paper that will be folded in half to create an A6 sized booklet. For reference, A5 paper is about the same size of a sheet of A4 cut in half.

2. Print Settings

Use the PDF version to print your document. Do not use the scanned version. In order to print the booklet correctly, you must check the box in the print settings called “Booklet”. It automatically formats the document to be printed and folded as a booklet.

Also make sure to change the print settings to A5 Paper to match the paper size.

3. Paper Type

International License Booklets should be printed on thick text paper. You want the paper to be thicker and more durable than regular computer paper, but still flexible and compact.

No need to overthink it. Any paper will do just fine.

4. Color

The back page of your IDP Booklet has a passport sized photo. Make sure that the booklet is printed in color.

5. Binding

If you use a print shop, they will ask how your booklet should be bounded and the answer is Saddle Stitching, which means two staples on the spine of the booklet.
